Very large Chinese rice basket used by farmers to pay taxes. Made of Elm and wrought iron fittings, a handle through the middle top with Chinese characters on one side. Circa 18th-19th century. About 9 1/2 inches high with a 12X12 opening in the top.
Japanese celadon plate with enameled floral decoration. Red Japanese characters mark on verso. 19th century. One 2mm round glaze mark (holiday) on front center which occurred in the making. 8 1/2 inches in diameter.
