Papua New Guinea pectoral for chieftain or dignitary. Contains over 100 white cowrie shells (native money) applied to woven backing. Early 20th century. Polished transected Mother-of-Pearl seashell at bottom. About 22 inches long.
Santa Clara Pueblo black bowl with unusual pattern including "Water Serpent". Circa 1930. Signed in pencel on base "Chochita, Santa Clara Pueblo". About 4 1/4 inches tall, 4 1/4 diameter across the top opening. Please note: a slight yellowish cast in a couple of the photos is only from a reflection.
